This year the Pakistani military operation in North Waziristan displaced 1 million people as these communities moved out of the area, more than 700,000 people, including nearly half a million children, have been vaccinated. However, the risk of the virus travelling with a highly mobile population is still high, and all communities in Pakistan need to be vaccinated for their protection.
